By participating in Going For Goal Minutes you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
1. Duration of the Game
Game Two of the Going For Goal Minutes competition ("GFGM") will operate from Saturday 11th February to Monday 12th March 2012.
2. Entry Qualification
Entries to GFGM may only be made via goingforgoalminutes.com. There is no entry or registration fee, although entrants will incur their own cost (if any) of time spent accessing the Website. Valid confirmed entries must be received by 23.59 on Friday 10th of February 2012. Entrants must submit all requested information. Entries correctly submitted through the Website will result in an acceptance message on the Website and will be confirmed by email to the entrant’s email address supplied during registration (provided the entrant has correctly submitted their email address). The Promoter’s record of each entry will be deemed to be the official entry for each team. GFGM is only open to those aged 18 years or over at the time of registration and is open to any eligible person residing in a country where the Game is not prohibited or otherwise unlawful. Failure to observe these requirements will mean that any potential winning entry is invalid and all winnings will be forfeited. Employees of the Promoter, its associated, affiliated and subsidiary companies and their families, agents and any person connected with the Game are excluded from entry. Entrants must supply all the information requested. There is a maximum of one entry per client. If more than one team is submitted by an entrant then the first entered team will be deemed the entry and any subsequent teams will be invalid.
3. Selecting a Team
Entrants must choose a name for their team. The Promoter reserves the right to reject any team name that in its sole judgement is inappropriate or offensive. In such a case, the Promoter reserves the right to rename the team as the Promoter deems appropriate. Entrants must select ten players for their team, with a maximum of one player from any one of the 20 Premier League teams. Each team must have four forwards, four midfielders and two defenders. Only players in the GFGM lists may be selected ("Eligible Players"). Eligible Players and their position classification have been taken from the Sky Sports website. Entrants will be allowed to make changes to their team only while the entry period is open (Tuesday 7th February to 23.59 Friday 10th February).
4. Eligible Players & Transfers
The Eligible Player list is final as of 00.01 Tuesday 7th February and no further changes or additions will be made to these lists. Any officially sanctioned transfer of a player in or out of a Premier League club after 00.01 Tuesday 7th February will not be included. So, if a player in the Eligible Player list is transferred to another Premier League team other than the one he is registered for in the final Eligible Player list and subsequently goes onto score for that new team during Game Two, the goal will not count for GFGM Game Four scoring purposes.
5. Scoring Rules & Updates
Eligible Players are awarded points for scoring goals in each of the Premier League matches taking place between Saturday 11th February and Monday 12th March 2012 (goals scored in the Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carling Cup do not count). Points are awarded for each minute that an Eligible Player scores in. By way of example, if Darren Bent scores one goal in a match in the 30th minute, he is awarded 30 points. If he scores two goals, in the 15th and 60th minutes of a match, he’s awarded 75 points. Zero points are awarded if a player does not score in the game. The maximum points that a goal can be worth is 90. Own goals do not count. Goals in extra-time or penalty shootouts do not count (i.e. 90 minutes only). An Eligible Player who has been awarded points as described in these Terms and Conditions will retain those points regardless of whether a goal is attributed to another player or disallowed at a later date. Any player that is subsequently awarded a goal will not receive the points retrospectively, nor will the original scorer lose points. The Promoter’s decision, as to which minute a goal is scored in and to which Eligible Player the goal has been attributed, is final and this information will be taken from the BBC website. Sporting Index clients can earn additional points for their GFGM entry based on bets placed on Sporting Index’s player goal minutes markets that are settled during the period specified. Any Sporting Index client who places 10 valid and accepted player goal minutes bets settled between Saturday 11th February and Sunday 26th February will be awarded an extra 100 points for their GFGM entry. There is no minimum stake stipulation and qualifying player goal minutes bets can be placed on any football competition (including Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carling Cup). Any Sporting Index client who places 5 valid and accepted player goal minutes bets settled between Monday 27th February and Monday 12th March will be awarded an extra 50 points for their GFGM entry. Again there is no minimum stake stipulation and qualifying player goal minutes bets can be placed on any football competition (including Champions League, Europa League, FA Cup and Carling Cup). The Promoter, where possible, will update and publish the GFGM leaderboard on the Website by 12pm Monday to Friday during the duration of the each game.
6. Prizes
The winning entries at the end of GFGM will be those entries which have, according to the Promoter, accumulated the most points calculated using the Scoring rules in Clause 5 of these Terms and Conditions. The £1,000 first prize goes to the entrant whose accepted team has scored the most points at the end of each game. Ten runners-up prizes of a £100 Total Goals bet (with a maximum profit of £200 to the entrant) will be distributed to places 2-11. If two or more teams share a place, the tie-breaker question shall operate. The entrant whose answer is closest to the tie-breaker shall be deemed the winner. In the event that entrants cannot be separated by the tie-breaker, the promoter reserves the right to share the relevant prize between remaining tied entrants. For example, if there remain two entrants tied for first place, the prize pool will be divided and distributed equally.
7. Awarding of Prizes
All prize money will be paid into the relevant entrant’s Sporting Index account. The prizes are non-transferable and there are no alternative prizes. The awarding of the prizes will take place within seven days of the final Eligible Match of the game. The Promoter’s calculation of scores will be final and no correspondence will be entered into. Following the awarding of prizes, results will be announced and all winners will be formally notified via the contact details provided on their entry form as soon as reasonably practicable. If an end-of-game winner cannot be located within four weeks of the announcement date, the prize will be forfeited. All prize winners will be announced within 14 days following the last Eligible Match of the relevant game. The winners agree to allow the free use of their names, photographs, general location and team selections for publicity purposes. All winners’ names will be available upon request from the Promoter and each entrant consents to the use of their personal data for these purposes.

8. Liability
In respect of the operation of GFGM, and interpretation of these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into unless an entrant complies with Sporting Index’s official complaints procedure which can be found on the main Sporting Index website. The Promoter does not accept liability for corrupted, damaged, delayed or otherwise invalid entries or for technical, hardware or software failures of any kind, lost, or unavailable network conditions which may limit or prohibit the opportunity to participate in GFGM. The Promoter reserves the right to amend and/or waive these Terms and Conditions or any part thereof at any time and entrants agree that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof, and that the exercise of such discretion shall not result in any compensation or payment being payable or paid to any entrant. If there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any other promotional or explanatory copy, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail. Except for death or personal injury caused by their negligent acts or omissions, the Promoter will only be liable to any entrant for any loss or damage which is a responsibly foreseeable consequence of a breach by the Promoter of these Terms and Conditions. The Promoter will not be liable for any loss or damage caused by it, its employees or agents in circumstances where (i) they are not at fault for errors or inaccuracies, or (ii) the loss or damage is not foreseeable to the entrant and the Promoter, or (iii) the loss or damage is a business loss or the losses were caused in the course of business, including losses relating to lost data, lost profits or business interruption.
